Today we got a look at the first RollerCoaster Tycoon World in-game screenshots that have been released. And without further delay, here they are:
For a game with “Roller Coaster” in the title there is a definite lack of them in the screenshots. We can clearly see the game is going to look a lot more like RCT3 than RCT1 or 2 but it is still unclear what the actual gameplay will be like. PCGamer posted an interview today that shed a few more details, like:
“You’ll even be able to read the general park consensus from the parks inhabitants in something called the “Park Pulse,” which will aggregate everyone’s opinion into easily digestible data.”
The coaster builder uses “a spline system instead of the old style of laying individual pieces to build a ride, it looked easy and intuitive to make exactly what you want. You can even “ride” the roller coasters you’ve created, as well as any other ride in the game, in both a 1st- and 3rd-person view.” Read the full RCTW preview here.
RollerCoaster Tycoon World certainly looks promising, but many fans are hesitant to get their hopes up. To answer any questions you may have, see our RCTW FAQ section. What do you think about the direction RollerCoaster Tycoon World is headed?
