RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile was released three weeks ago and Atari/RollerCoaster Tycoon recently responded to all the feedback they’ve been getting, including addressing all the negative reviews. They also shed some light on future plans for the RCT series. In a post on Facebook they said more than one million game sessions of RCT4 Mobile have been played, which is quite shocking considering all the negative reviews. Many fans are upset that RCT4 is not a PC game. The good news is that anew premium PC game is in production, for release in winter 2014 (most likely December but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it slip into 2015). A website and forums will be launched soon where everyone will be able to directly engage with the RCT Team for this game.
One of the biggest complaints of RCT4M is all the micro-transactions. Believe it or not, you can play the whole game through without buying any coins or tickets. Still, they are reducing prices over the next few weeks to better balance the game. If you’ve discovered any bugs in the game please post details of your bug occurrences on the Atari support page (http://bit.ly/1ja2u9K) so they can get it fixed as soon as possible. The other good news is the wait time for building construction: they are shortening all construction and building timers. It’s great to hear the game is being improved but it’s still not up to the level we all expect it to be. The Android version will be available early Summer 2014.
And that’s not all! Other attractions and features coming soon include a flyover plane where you can launch a plane that flies over a friend’s park with a customized message. You will also be able to use the plane to hype your park and spread the news about your latest attractions. As an added bonus, all of your buildings will produce more coins when the plane is launched in your park. Atari also promises more attractions and more Levels. New rides and attractions will be a Stadium, Flying Jumbo Ride, Gold Rush Mine and more. Again, nice to see they are making additions to the game but it’s not the areas that need the most improvement. The core of RollerCoaster Tycoon is about building realistic roller coasters!
What do you think about all the new additions to RCT4M?
