A lot of RollerCoaster Tycoon fans have been asking the same questions about the upcoming RCTW game for PC due to be released in early 2016. Listed below are answers to some of those common questions. As the game is still under development, this information may be incorrect and is subject to change at any time. Q: When is the RollerCoaster Tycoon World release date?

A: Early 2016 (Was announced as 12-10-15 but has been pushed back). Update 2/28/16: According to Amazon.com, RollerCoaster Tycoon World will be released on March 30, 2016. Atari has not yet confirmed this date as they are still stating an “early 2016 release.”

Q: Will you be able to know what the guests are thinking in RCTW?

A: Yes, you’ll even be able to read the general park consensus from the parks inhabitants in something called the “Park Pulse,” which will aggregate everyone’s opinion into easily digestible data

Q: Will there be micro-transactions in RCTW?

A: No, there will not. The game will be POP (pay one price).

Q: What themes will be included in RCTW for scenery, etc.?

A: So far we know ‘50s Americana, sci-fi, pirate, and Western themes (as of 9-2-14) and four landscapes: Forest, Canyon, Island, and Science Fiction. Each of the themes has its own mascot with different versions of the characters over the years, which is intended to create a sense of history for players.

Q: How will the coaster builder work?

A: It’s a new, intuitive push/pull/twist interface where the track snaps together.

Q: Will you be able to ride the coasters and rides?

A: Yes, you’ll be able to see both in a 1st- and 3rd-person view.

Q: How will multi-player work?

A: Parks will be broken out into four different sections, each seemingly the size of a regular theme park, and up to four players will be given the opportunity to create their section of the park in tandem.

Q: Will you need to be connected to the internet to play, like SimCity?

A: No, only for multi-player. You will also be able to explore other people’s parks online, and share roller coaster blueprints across the internet.

Q: Will there be VR support for the ride view?

Q: Can you crash coasters like in previous RCT games?

A: Yes…

Q: Will there be pre-built roller coasters?

A: Yes.

A: Stations will be themed to one of the four main themes.
